ESGreen publishes paper in LIFT Papers 2026 (Central Bank of Brazil and Fenasbac)

ESGreen has published the project ESGreen Insights – Data for Sustainability in LIFT Papers 2026, the compilation of projects from LIFT – Financial Innovation Laboratory, an initiative of the Central Bank of Brazil and Fenasbac. The paper appears on pages 43 to 50 of the publication.

The project starts from a central question for the financial system: can ESG data be trusted? The approach is to integrate public and registry data, such as information from Ibama, the Receita Federal (Brazil's federal tax authority), the Dívida Ativa (government debt rolls), INPE, Ibama and ICMBio embargoes, CAR/SICAR (Rural Environmental Registry), permanent preservation areas from the MMA (Ministry of the Environment), Funai and Incra, into a risk and compliance view per entity, with a geospatial layer and the use of artificial intelligence, delivered via API.
